Distribution Agent Failure alarm

Raised when the distribution agent status is failed.

The distribution agent finds data in the distribution database and applies it to the subscription. A distribution agent failure results in the subscription using the agent to be out of sync.

Distribution Agent Not Running alarm

Raised when the distribution agent is not running (stopped).

The distribution agent finds data in the distribution database and applies it to the subscription. The distribution agent should normally run continuously.

Log Reader Agent Failure alarm

Raised when the log reader agent status is failed.

The log reader agent scans the transaction log in its publisher database for transactions that are marked ‘for replication’ and adds those transactions to the distribution database. A log reader agent failure results in the subscriptions subscribed to in its publisher database to be out of sync.

Log Reader Agent Not Running alarm

Raised when log reader agent is not running (stopped).

The log reader agent scans the transaction log in its publisher database for transactions that are marked ‘for replication’ and adds those transactions to the distribution database. The log reader agent should normally run continuously.

Monitored Server - Replication Alarm Action Failure alarm

Raised when a configured alarm action failed to evaluate.

Monitored Server - Replication Alarm Evaluation Failure alarm

Raised when Spotlight Cloud failed to evaluate a given alarm from a given collection.

Monitored Server - Replication Collection Execution Failure alarm

Raised when a given collection fails to execute against the monitored server.

Monitored Server - Replication Connection Failure alarm

Raised when Spotlight Cloud fails to connect to the SQL Server replication distribution database.

Monitored Server - Replication Planned Outage alarm

Raised during a planned outage of the connection, and cleared upon its completion.

Pending (undistributed) commands exceed threshold alarm

Raised when the estimated time to apply pending commands, for the subscriber with the longest estimated time to apply, exceeds a threshold.
